Verna Spencer

Vera Lee McDowell Spencer, 57, of North Little Rock, departed this life February 11, 2011. She was a longtime nurse and a member of Eighth Street Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her father, Dave McDowell; step-father and mother, Bennie and Verna Clemmons; grandchild, Desmon Salley. She leaves to cherish her memories: children, Charles (Francis) McDowell, Darrell (Flora) Johnson, Verna (Hubert) Butler, Taletha (Ahmein) Mumitt, Aljay Jr. and Alice Spencer; 20 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; five brothers; four sisters; and Aljay Spencer Sr., the father of her children; other family and friends.
