Brett Jason Young

Brett Jason Young, 33, went to be with the Lord on February 18, 2011. He was born July 6, 1977 to Charles A. and Alice Faye Hicks Young. A lifelong Cabot resident, he was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved to spend time outdoors. A big man with an even bigger heart, Jason was always willing to lend a smile or a hand to anyone who needed it. He was a 1995 graduate of Cabot High School, and earned a degree in biology from the University of Arkansas Little Rock in 1999. He is survived by many friends and family members who loved him, including his parents, Charles and Faye Young of Cabot; his sister and brother-in-law, Lisa and Doug Lee, niece Grayson Lee and nephew Jackson Lee, all of Los Angeles, California; brother Dennis Young of Breckenridge, Texas; grandfather, William Lee Hicks of Cabot; grandmother, Ruth Calhoun of Jacksonville; and many uncles, aunts and cousins. He is also survived by his "honorary" family Steve and Patty Lovston and Chris, Terena, Terry and Julie Lovston, all of Cabot. Visitation from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Wednesday, February 23, 2011, at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home (501) 843-5816. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Thursday, February 24, 2011 at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Pat Howell Cemetery in Cabot.
