James Mark Abbott

James Mark Abbott, 54, of Cabot died of a heart attack on February 21, 2011. Mark was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, the son of J.W. and Betty Abbott. He is survived by his mother; his son, Jon Marc; and three sisters, Beth Moore, Laura Webb, and Leslie Boone. God blessed Mark with many abilities and talents, especially saxophone playing. His music abilities gained him numerous awards and scholarships. He was a member of the United States Air Force as well as the 106th Arkansas Army National Guard Band. He was a very hard worker, liked to make people laugh and loved everything outdoors. A firm believer in Jesus Christ, he was a good father, loyal friend, and loving son and brother. Mark entered his peaceful rest joining his father and brother, Matt. A graveside celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m., on Thursday, February 24th, 2011 at the Griffin Leggett-Rest Hills Memorial Park, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock (501) 835-3515.
