Minnie Veletta Ketchum Dillard

Minnie Veletta Ketchum Dillard, 92, of Glenwood, died Tuesday, February 22, 2011. She was born May 9, 1918, at Bonnerdale, the daughter of James H. and Mattie Grant Ketchum. On April 6, 1938, she married Haskell Dillard who preceded her in death on September 8, 1999. Survivors include one son, Hara Donald (Montie) Dillard of Little Rock; one daughter, Peggy (Doyce) Garner of Bryant; three grandchildren, Gray (Elizabeth) Dillard of Maumelle, Nancy (Lowell) Myers of Pangburn and Chad (Karissa) Garner of Benton; five great-grandchildren; her former daughter-in-law, Suzanne Dillard of North Little Rock; one brother, Frank Ketchum of Arkadelphia; two sisters-in-law, Geneva Ketchum of Hot Springs and Stella Ketchum of Lancaster, New York; several nieces and nephews; a host of friends; and a special lady that helped in her home as her caregiver for many years, Shirley Lang. Services will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, in Mount Tabor Community Church with burial in the Mount Tabor Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Visitation will be Friday, 5-7 p.m., at the funeral home. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Chenal Heights Nursing and Rehabilitation, as well as Arkansas Hospice, for their loving care during our mother's illness.
