James Ackerman

James H. Ackerman, 91, of North Little Rock, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, February 23rd, 2011. He was born November 20th, 1919 in Rison, Arkansas to Leland and Eunice Hamilton Ackerman. James was a member of the Mt. Sinai Masonic Lodge, and the First United Methodist Church of North Little Rock. He was United States Navy veteran, having served during WW II as a Pharmacist Mate 1st Class. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Glover Ackerman; and his brother, Tom Ackerman. Cherishing his memory are his son, Tom Ackerman (Lona) of North Little Rock; brother, George Ackerman (Peggy) of Little Rock; granddaughter, Cristi Ackerman of Little Rock; two nieces; and a host of friends. A graveside celebration of his life will be held at 3 p.m., Monday February 28th, 2011 at Griffin Leggett-Rest Hills Memorial Park, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock. (501) 835-3515.
