Vernon Lee Withers Jr.

Vernon Lee Withers, Jr was born on February 12, 1960 the oldest son of Vernon Lee Withers, Sr. and Eunice Lawson Withers. He departed from this walk of life on Tuesday, January 25, 2011. He attended school in the Pulaski County School District and was a 1978 graduate of Wilbur Mills High School. He attended UAPB and Ouachita University. Vernon was a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church, Higgins, Ark. He worked as a cosmetologist for many years. Vernon is preceded in death by his grandparents, John Lawson, Marie Lawson and Ruby M. Withers. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted parents, Mr. and Mrs Vernon Withers, Sr of Woodson, Ark.; four brothers, Baisl (Gladys) Withers and James L. Withers all of Little Rock, Ark., Anthony (Regina) Withers of Richmond, Va. and Derwin (Denise) Lawson of Las Vegas, Nev.; his grandfather, Rev. James L. Withers of Woodson, Ark. and his extended family. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, January 29, 2011 at Temple of Restoration Church of God In Christ, 10610 Chicot Road with Rev. David Withers officiating. Burial will follow in Rest in Peace Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Friday at Mount Carmel Baptist Church, Higgins, Ark.
