Henry Donald Stone

Henry Donald Stone, 79, of Magazine, Ark., died in the early morning hours on July 3, 2011. Henry leaves behind his wife of 57 years, Barbara Kathryn Stone, and his seven children, Denny Stone of Magazine, Ark., Victor Stone of Magazine, Ark., Tammy Stone of Prairie Grove, Ark., Chris Stone of Magazine, Ark., Deanna Mahon of Farmington, Ark., Mary Gardner of Dover, Ark., and Shawn Stone of Branson, Mo. Henry was also the proud grandfather of 18 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Henry was a veteran of the Korean War as well as the former mayor of Magazine, Ark., and former Justice of the Peace of Logan County. Henry was the president and owner of the Magazine Telephone Company, was an active member of the Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church and achieved the 4th degree of the Knights of Columbus. He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Anna Stone, and one sister, Doris Stone. Funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at St. Benedicts Catholic Church in Subiaco, Ark., with burial In Oak Hill Cemetery in Booneville, Ark., under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Eric Stone, Dane Gardner, Adam Gardner, James Stone, Zack Nelson, and Scott Woodley. Honorary pallbearers will be the employees of Magazine Telephone Company and Rodney Malone and Jeral Jones. Visitation and Rosary will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at Roberts Funeral Home.
