JANE I. SWITLIK, 63, of Mabelvale, died Friday, July 22, 2011. She was born at Parsons, Kan., on April 22, 1948, the daughter of Earl and Pearl Whistler Pruitt. She was a registered nurse for the Pulaski County Health Department and was a member of the Cathedral of St. Andrew's Catholic Church. She loved taking care of her patients and would always go above and beyond to make them feel comfortable. Her husband, kids and grandkids were her life. She enjoyed crocheting, swimming, camping and cheering on her favorite sports teams. She was an animal lover and her dogs will miss her greatly. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband, Paul Anthony Switlik of Mabelvale; a son, Michael P. Switlik of Little Rock; a daughter, Kimberly D. Barsell (Jeremy) of Little Rock; two grandchildren, Rachael Barsell and Alex Barsell; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home (501)224-8300 from 6 until 8 p.m., Wednesday, July 27, 2011 with a Rosary service in the funeral home chapel at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, July 28, 2011 at the Cathedral of St. Andrew with Father Matt Garrison as celebrant. Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, Galesberg, Kan. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Winthrop T. Rockefeller Cancer Institute, Cancer Control Division, 4301 W.
