Bobby Gene Mills

Bobby Gene Mills, 84, passed away Monday, July 25, 2011 at the NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro. He was born October 10, 1926 in Harrisburg to the late Harry and Eugenia Mills. Mr. Mills proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II and was a member of the American Legion. He was also a member of the Harrisburg First Baptist Church, the men's Sunday School Class and Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed spending time with his family, loved quarter horses and fishing. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Rosemary Thompkins Mills; two sons, Danny Mills (Anna) of Jonesboro and Joe Mills of Harrisburg; two grandsons, Dalton Mills of Harrisburg and Justin Clarke Mills of Rogers; a great-grandson, Phillip Ryan Mills of Rogers. He was also preceded in death by a son, Byron Mills. A celebration of his life will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, July 28, 2011 at the Gregg-Weston Funeral Home Chapel in Harrisburg.
