Mona "Carolyn" Stone Wallis

Mona "Carolyn" Stone Wallis of Bryant, Arkansas was born on February 13, 1946 in Miller, Arkansas and went home to our Lord's loving arms on Wednesday, July 27, 2011. She was preceded in death by her parents Mildred Dollar Verser and James Stone. Carolyn is survived by her husband Dennis Wallis; children Lisa (Randy) Padgett (Sherwood) and Charles Phillips, Jr. (Bryant); her grandchildren Miranda, Cody and Amber Padgett (Sherwood) and Payton (North Little Rock), Chance (Bryant) and Trey Phillips; brothers J.L. (Linda) Stone (Brownsville); Dewey Stone (Benton); sisters Barbara Stone (Brownsville) and Marguerite (Dewayne) Nelson (Higdon) and many nieces, nephews and extended family. She was an active member of Oak Park Baptist Church and an employee of Little Rock School District for 32 years. Carolyn was a loving person with a rare and special spirit. She'll be missed by her family and a host of many dear and close friends. Carolyn requested that in lieu of flowers that a donation be made to cancer research or your favorite charity. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 30, 2011 at Oak Park Baptist Church, 8200 Flint Ridge Road (I-430 and Stagecoach Road) with Reverend David Harris and Reverend Paul Rice officiating. Graveside service will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Alexander, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Jamie Stone, Randall Nelson, Ernie Hooten, Larry Miller, Mark Dunn and Ritchie Brady.
