Funeral services for Shirley Ann Green, age 65, of Malvern, Arkansas formally of Little Rock, Arkansas who died Monday, March 6, 2011 at St. Vincent Infirmary Little Rock, Arkansas, will be held Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church, Malvern, Arkansas with Rev. Richard L. Sutton, Pastor officiating. Burial will be Monday at 10 a.m. at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, Sherwood, Arkansas with Brandon's Mortuary in charge of arrangements. Shirley Green was born December 1, 2011 in Eufaula, Alabama to the late Charlie Williams and Mary Mills Williams. She was an elementary teacher for over six years before she was employed at Falcon Jet in Little Rock where she retired as a Telecommunications Specialist. She was a member of Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church where she was very active in Church affairs. She was a member of the Order of The Eastern Star: Shamrock Trinity # 425 Little Rock, Arkansas Mason Heroines of Jericho, Keystone Court #4, Heroines of Templar Crusades Little Rock, Arkansas and Gild #2 and various other Organizations. Survivors are: her husband Edward Green of Malvern, Arkansas; son, Seane Green of Malvern, Arkansas; granddaughter, Destany Lesure of Malvern, Arkansas; sister, Charlie Mae Williams of Hartford, Conn., Dorothy McElroy (James) of New York, New York, sister-in-law, Laura Hunter, (Jimmy) and Judy Pierce (James) both of Malvern, Arkansas and Pricilla Chandler of Little Rock, Arkansas; brother-in -law, Charlie Simpson (Brenda) of Malvern, Arkansas and Johnnie Simpson (Robin) of Desoto, Texas. Visitation will be Friday, March 11 from 5 unto 7 p.m. at Bethel A. M. E. Church, Malvern, Arkansas.
