Cleodis Lawrence Tippen

Cleodis Lawrence Tippen 92, of Little Rock, Ark. departed this life on March 9, 2011. He was born Nov. 4, 1918 in Gethesmane, Ark. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Tippen and Lucy Hockenhull Fentress; two brothers, Hercules Tippen and Raymond Trotter; and his wife, Thelma Shells Tippen in January of 2006. He leaves to cherish his memory: two sons, Lawrence (Shirley) Tippen and Leonard Tippen both of Little Rock; two daughters, Norma (Marty) Morris of Seattle, Wash., and Rochelle (Carl) Rainey of Little Rock; one brother, Johnny Trotter of Little Rock; 20 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a very loyal and dedicated care giver to whom he was extremely pleased with, DeJuana Williams; and a host of other family, neighbors, and friends. Funeral services: Friday, March 18, 2011, 11 a.m., at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 109 West Roosevelt Rd., Little Rock.
