Melvin R. Tucker

Melvin R. Tucker, 67 of Pine Bluff, died Monday at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. He was born February 18, 1944 in Star City to the late Robert J. and Bernice Smith Tucker. He retired from International Paper Company in 2000 after 36 years of service. He is also preceded by a brother; Robert Michael Tucker. Survivors include one daughter; Lesa Tucker Winslow and husband Mark of Little Rock, two step-sons; Jerry Watts of Cabot and Danny Watts of Star City, one sister; Linda Tucker Woodruff and husband Sonny of White Hall; and three nephews; Mike, Matt and Mitch Woodruff. Funeral Services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday at Griffin Funeral Chapel. Bro. Dean Dancer and Bro. Nathaniel Bolden will officiate. Visitation will be 12:30 p.m. until the time of service Wednesday. Burial will be at Leek Cemetery. Pallbearers are Mike Woodruff, Matt Woodruff, Mitch Woodruff, Danny Watts, Jessie Tucker and John Culliford. Arrangements by Griffin Funeral Service in Star City.
