Beatrice (Bea) Fielding

Beatrice (Bea) Fielding passed away quietly in her home on her 95th birthday, March 23. She was born Beatrice Marguerite Traxler on March 23, 1916 in McComb, Mississippi. She attended Little Rock High school, now Central, and Arkansas State Teachers College, now UCA. She taught 34 years for North Little Rock Public schools teaching at Rose City Elementary school, Fourth Street Junior high, and Ridgeroad Junior high. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma International society, Eastern Star and Amerance. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of over sixty-nine years, Edgar Wells Fielding, her parents and daughter Wellena Mae Fielding. She is survived by three of her four daughters and their families: Marguerite Lee Fielding Zimmerman, her husband Leland of Conway, Jo Ann Fielding Williamson of Jacksonville and Paula Fielding Armstrong, her husband Ron of North Little Rock; nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Friday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home in Hot Springs. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m., Saturday at Roselawn Cemetery, 2801 Asher Avenue, Little Rock, Arkansas with Bro. Terry Fortner officiating. Pallbearers include Dee Zimmerman, Greg Williamson, Lee Zimmerman, Tim Zimmerman, Roy Zimmerman and Andrue Armstrong.
