Letitia Renee Wimberly-Dickerson

Mrs. Letitia Renee Wimberly Dickerson, 43 of Crossett, AR, died Thursday, March 17, 2011 at the Cancer Treatment Center of America in Tulsa, OK. She was a 1985 honor graduate of Crossett High School, she furthered her education at the University of Arkansas at Monticello, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Mathematics in 1990. In May, 2008, she received her Master of Science Degree in Higher Education from Arkansas Tech University. Letitia was employed with Georgia Pacific Paper Mill as a customer service specialist/scheduling clerk. She was a member of Pleasant Green Baptist Church where she worked diligently and compassionately with the youth. She served the Lord and the church in several capacities such as writing plays/skits, singing, directing the choir and speaking. Whatever her hands found to do, she was willing to do. Though quiet in nature, she was outgoing and loved by all. It was important to her to make others feel important. Letitia was preceded in death by her father, Nolton Eugene Wimberly, a sister, Joyce Wimberly Colen and a brother-in-law, Eddie Colon. She is survived by her husband of nineteen years, LeMoyne "Butch" Dickerson Sr., one son, LeMoyne "Butch" Dickerson Jr. of Crossett, Ark., one daughter, Morgan T. Dickerson of Conway, Ark., her mother, Mrs. DeLores F. Wimberly of Crossett, Ark., her mother-in-law, Mrs. Norma Jean Love of Crossett, Ark., three brothers: Mr. Curtis Pugh of Little Rock, Ark., Mr. Cornell Wimberly of Dallas, Texas and Terrell Wimberly of Crossett, Ark., six sisters: Ms. Valerie Postell, Ms. Wondrous Wilson and Ms. LaMonda Swann, husband Daniel all of Dallas, Texas, Mrs. Tameka Wright, husband Fred of Crossett, Ark., Ms. Debra Wimberly of Los Angeles, Calif., and Dr. Mattie Yvette Wimberly of Hawkins, Texas, two very special nephews: Kendrick and Javari Wright, a special sister, Mrs. Wanda Owens, husband Chester of Hamburg, Ark., a God-sister, Minister Rachel Luckett of Little Rock, Ark., three very special friends; Mrs. LaCeasha Turner, Mrs. Rita Spencer and Mrs. Betty Ray all of Crossett, and a host of other family and loved ones. Funeral services are Saturday, March 26, 2011 at 2:30 p.m. at Gates Chapel AME Church with Rev. Dominic Mayweather and Rev. Walter Witherspoon officiating. Pallbearers will be Deion Lewis, Reginald Spencer, Tracy Vann, Jesse Tate, Marvin Johnson, and Audwin Bradford. Honorary Pallbearers are Crossett High School class of 1985 and Georgia Pacific Tissue Shipping Department. Visitation will be Friday, March 25 from 6 to 7 p.m. at Cromwell Funeral Home. Burial in Westview Cemetery under the directions of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, Ark.
