George Conwell Selligman

George Conwell Selligman, 76, of Maumelle, lost his battle with cancer Wednesday, May 18, 2011. He was born in Pine Bluff, Ark., to the late Mitchell and Frances Selligman. George served in the Navy as an electrician, Veteran of the Korean War and served on the U.S.S. Harry E. Hubbard. He owned and operated his business, Aluminum Products Company in Little Rock. He will be missed by all that knew him. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Betty Kuonen Selligman; one daughter, Kathy Herndon and husband, James; three grandchildren, Brittany Fleming (Josh), Kody Van Pelt and Alyssa Herndon all of Vilonia; one great-grandchild, Tess Fleming of Vilonia; his brother, Mitchell Selligman, III (Mary); of Mountain Home, Ark.; three nephews, Glen Selligman of St. Louis, Mo., Hank Kuonen of Little Rock and Mark Kuonen of Dallas, Texas; great nephew, Gaylen Selligman and great niece, Lillian Selligman. Graveside service will be at 11 a.m., Monday, May 23, 2011, at Arkansas State Veterans' Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m., Sunday, May 22, 2011, at Roller-Owens Funeral Home (501-791-7400). In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial to an organization of your choice.
