Nancy McArthur Harris

Nancy McArthur Harris, age 74, of Crossett, Ark. passed away on May 19, 2011. She was born on Sept. 20, 1936 in Hamburg, Ark. to her parents, Ellis and Addie Kelley McArthur. Mrs. Harris was a homemaker and had played and coached women's softball in the past. She enjoyed making soap and working in her yard. Mrs. Harris was active in jail ministry. She was a member of First Baptist Church, where she had taught Sunday school and Bible classes. Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Shelly Harris; and two grandchildren, Eric and Jeremy Ross. Survivors include: her husband, J. W. Harris of Crossett, Ark.; one son, Paul Harris of Crossett, Ark.; one daughter, Lisa Galloway of Hot Springs, Ark.; two brothers, John McArthur (Vonda) of Fresno, Calif., Walter McArthur of Hamburg, Ark.; one sister, Linda Haygood (Wayne) of Crossett, Ark.; two grandchildren, Rachel Harris, Josh Harris and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, May 23, 2011 at Jones Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jamie Staley officiating. Interment will follow at Crossroads Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett, Ark.
