Terry Lynn Scott

Terry Lynn Scott passed away on Sunday, May 22nd, his 57th birthday, at the St. Joseph Hospital in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Gertie and Jeff Scott and his brother, Jerry. He was survived by his wife Tami, son and daughter-in-law Jarrett and Annie with granddaughter Bracken, and daughter Mekenna. Terry spent 22 years as an insurance consultant at S&P Insurance Partners, LLC. Through years of his service of ministry at the Mount Ida First United Methodist Church and Joplin Methodist Church, Terry lifted spirits and taught others his ultimate sermons Loving and Taking Care of Each Other. Terry taught us all by his own faith in Jesus' plan; he lived life as an example of God's gift, strength during trials and sickness, and a miraculous love for life. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 25, 2011 from 8 am to 4:30 p.m. Family will be there from 2 to 4 p.m. at Thornton Funeral Home in Mount Ida, Ark. Services will be Thursday, May 26, 2011 at 2 p.m. First United Methodist Church in Mount Ida, Ark. burial will be in the Mt. Ida Cemetery under the direction of Thornton Funeral Home in Mount Ida.
