Jackie K. Wallace

Jackie Kay Grant Wallace was born on April 7, 1956, in Hot Springs, Ark. She left to be with the Lord Sunday, Nov. 13, 2011. She was surrounded by her loved ones and uplifted in song. Jackie graduated from Quapaw Technical College, gaining her certificate as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She loved and cared for her patients for 18 years. She was hard working and dedicated to her job, always volunteering to work an extra shift even on the holidays. Jackie loved arts and crafts; she was a skilled crafter and seamstress. She loved to go antiquing with her mother and find great deals. Jackie was a beloved mother and grandmother; she loved her daughters more than life itself. Her grandchildren brought her great joy and a reason to always brag. Jackie was preceded in death by her mother, Barbra Ann McKenzie Grant and her father, Charles Max Grant. Jackie is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Donna Grant; her nephews, Matthew Grant and his wife, Paula, and Tyler Grant; her daughters, Jennifer Wallace Triplett and her husband, David, and Jessica Wallace, and their father, John Wallace; and her grandchildren Samuel and Lucy Triplett; her "adopted children" that she took in as her own, Erica Wallenfang, Heather Boyles, and Susan Brown; her beloved best friend and sister-in-law, Donna Witham. Jackie was also survived by so many family, friends and co-workers too long to list; they all knew her as Momma Jackie. A special thank you goes to the care teams of Canyon Springs Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Quapaw Care and Rehabilitation Center, and the care staff of National Park Medical Center for all the love and comfort they showed to the family during her last days. Visitation will be held at Davis-Smith Funeral Home of Hot Springs Saturday at 1 p.m. on Nov. 19, 2011, immediately followed by the memorial service at 2 p.m. Memorials can be made to the American Diabetes Association or The American Heart Association.
