Lena Bell Payne

Lena Bolden Payne, 89, of Bee Branch, Arkansas finished her earthly walk Monday, November 14, 2011. She was born February 19, 1922 at Eglantine , Arkansas to the late Chris and Dora (Bradford) Bolden. She was a member of the Colony Church of Christ. Our Mother spent most of her life doing without to give to her children, and serving others. We miss her already. She was preceded in death by husband, Kenneth Payne and one son, J.D. Payne, five brothers, (Jack, Fred, Arlie, Johnie, and C.G. Bolden), four sisters, (Paulene, Audie, Exie, and Irene). Lena is survived by five daughters, Geraldine Harrington of Arkadelphia, Ark.; Ruth Thomason and husband Carl, Jean Underwood and husband Bob, Helen Cornelius and husband Doug all of Bee Branch, Ark.; and Betty Thomason and husband Ron of Fort Smith, Ark.; one daughter-in-law, Genevieve Payne of Clinton, Ark.; and one sister, Helen Ruth Isom of Clinton, Ark.; one special brother-in-law and wife, Alvin and Winnie Payne of Bee Branch, Ark.; 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers: Clifton Bolden, Roger Bolden, Roger Payne, Justin Hensley, Zach Hutchins, Adam Thomason, Jacob Harrington, and Steve Cornelius. Honorary Pallbearers: Seth Moore, Blane Handy, A.J. Baker, David Baker, Chayton Cornelius, Eli Thomason, and Cade Cornelius. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, November 17, 2011 at Colony Church of Christ Morganton, Arkansas. Funeral Service will be Friday, November 18, 2011 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel Clinton, Arkansas with Carl Thomason and J.R. Manes officiating.
