Martha J. High-Cook, 88, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, November 15, 2011. She was born September 28, 1923 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to the late Rora and Marguerite (Berry) Reese. Martha was a Charter member of Hot Springs Baptist Church and a 1942 Graduate of Chilocco Indian School of Agriculture in Oklahoma, worked for the F.B.I. in Washington D.C. as a Finger Printing Expert during WWII. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, William D. High; second husband, James Otis Cook; sister, Katie Anderson; and brother, Bill Reese. Martha is survived by her sons, Bill High and wife Cathy of Hot Springs and Pat High and wife Elaine of Pearcy; daughters, Kay Bohn and husband Daniel of Benton, Janet David and husband James of Little Rock, Marguerite Gentry and husband Al of Gentry and Mary Jo High-Chirinos and husband Jorge of Toronto, Ontario, Canada; brothers, Henry Reese of Van Buren, Ben Reese and wife Saundra of Seattle, Washington, Roger Reese and wife Marge of Portland, Oregon; sisters, LaVera May Middlebusher of Ponca City, Oklahoma and Jimmie Leah Tsoodle of Anadarko, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Courtney Butler, Kelly High, Caleb High, Jonathan High, Kimberly Colclough, Ryan Barker, Alicia Anne Atwood, John Paul David, Lauren Rivas and Matthew Rivas and 13 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m., Thursday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home. Service will be at 2 p.m., Friday at Hot Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Manley Beasley officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hot Springs Baptist Church. Pallbearers include William Butler, John Paul David, Ryan Barker, Kelly High, Caleb High and Jonathan High. Honorary pallbearers include Windell Sunday School Class at Hot Springs Baptist Church.
