Tressie Aliene O'Cain, 88, of East End Community formerly of North Little Rock went with her Angels to be with her Lord on Tuesday, October 18, 2011. She was born in Hazen, Arkansas to Tyson and Myrtle (Perry) Faucett. Tressie formerly worked at Timex Corporation for approximately 28 years. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother to all her loved ones. She was a member of East End Baptist Church for many years and was always there for everyone and the "angel on earth" to us all. We loved her for her compassion and gentle heart and she never had nothing but kindness and love for all family and friends alike. She was not rich in wealth but spread her love around like it was "gold," and she gave everything she had to us all always. She was our "matriarch," our "rock" and we knew we could always count on her and she would be there for us whenever we needed her. She was the best pie maker and cook in the East End community. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Vernon Larence O'Cain, to whom she was married to for 60 years; her parents; sisters, Nellie Mae Faucett, Hazel Myrtle Faucett and Fannie Mae Faucett; sons, Michael Vernon O'Cain and Ronnie Lee O'Cain. She is survived by her daughter, Wilma Jeanne Willis, of East End; six grandchildren, John Pat Collier, Jenia Denny, Duke Willis, Kelly Warner, Shane O'Cain and Scott O'Cain; seven great-grandchildren, Jennifer Aliene Denny, Tyler Gene Willis, Brandan Dean Warner, Gavin Thomas O'Cain, Meghan Grace Denny, Brittney Madison Warner and Tiffany Paige Willis; and one sister, who she loved dearly, Grapel Elizabeth Whaley. She had a special place in her heart for her daughter-in-law, Karen O'Cain and her son-in-law, Jerry Dale Willis. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Saturday in the North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be 4 p.m., at Walters Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Online obituary and guest registry at www.nlrfh.com.
