Louis Edward Ross

Louis Edward Ross, 88, of Leesville, La., formerly of Jacksonville, Ark., passed away on Friday, Oct. 14, 2011, at Byrd Regional Hospital in Leesville. He was born Oct. 13, 1923, in New Kensington, Pa., to Michael and Mary Panfill Ross. Mr. Ross retired from the United States Air Force after 30 years of service. He served in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. He worked as a diesel mechanic at various locations in Arkansas before retiring to Louisiana in 1997. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maycel Ross. He is survived by his daughters, Sharmyn Kay Weatherford and husband Billy, of Leesville, La., Cheryl Landrum and husband Troy, of Willls Point, Texas; sons, Carl Ross, of Cabot, Michael Ross and his wife Rebecca, of Scottsboro, Ala.; sister, Amelia Rose Runski, of Pa.; grandchildren, Amanda Offutt-Ochoa, Heather Turney, and Troy Landrum; and three great-grandchildren. A private burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Park in Jacksonville 501-982-2136.
