Thomas Eugene Matthews

Thomas (Tommy) Matthews, 83, formerly of Berryville and Green Forest, Arkansas, he was born April 24, 1928 in Berryville, Arkansas, a son of Fred Thomas and Artie Eliza (Troy) Matthews. He departed this life Saturday, September 10, 2011 in Flippin, Arkansas at the age of 83 years. He was a retired auto mechanic having worked for years at Gibson Car Exchange. Tommy served his country proudly in the Korean War. On September 4, 1954 he was united in marriage with Elwanda Campbell who survives him of the home. He is also survived by his daughter, Jean and husband Galen Fountain; granddaughter, Nikki Fountain of Harrison, AR; cousins, nieces and nephews and two sister-in-laws. He was preceded in death by his parents. Graveside Services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at the Berryville Memorial Park Cemetery.
