Margaret Lucille Gattin

Margaret Lucille Gattin, age 87, of Benton, passed away Thursday, September 15, 2011. She was born July 11, 1924 in Waldron, Arkansas. Mrs. Gattin was a homemaker and a mother to five boys. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Estes and Med Lavona Brashier; husband, Leroy Gattin, a former superintendent of schools in Dierks, Arkansas and the Pulaski County Special School District.; son, Richard Cross Gattin; two brothers, Howell R. "Bus" and William H. Brashier and a sister, Dorothy Helen Atkins. She is survived by four sons, Thomas Gattin (Sandra) of Arkadelphia, Robert Gattin (Lisa) of Hot Springs, Paul Gattin (Alisa) of Bryant and Charles Gattin (Angela) of Benton; ten grandchildren, Ashley Bowden (Ronnie), Ryan Gattin, Bryan, Geoffrey, Evan, Jennifer, Tyler, Samuel Ross, Ellen and Bryce Gattin and one great-grandchild, Neeley Bowden. Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, September 18 at Ashby Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday, September 19 at Pine Crest Memorial Park.
