Max Barry Madden, 66, of Little Rock passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 20, 2011, surrounded by his loving family. Born April 24, 1945, in Salem, Illinois, to Eva Jewell and Herbert Victor Madden, Max was a loving husband, wonderful father and amazing PawPaw. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Herbert Madden and Samuel Madden, and sisters Reba Byington, Billie Johnson and Janet Coverdell. Max was a graduate of Normandy High School in St. Louis and St. Louis University. He retired after 40 years in the beer industry, including the last 30 years with Anheuser-Busch. Max was named 1998 Sales Director of the Year by Anheuser-Busch. He loved to golf with his buddies at Pleasant Valley Country Club, drive his sports cars, duck hunt with his boys and entertain and play with his grandsons. Max was a beloved son-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Jacqueline; daughter Ellen Jacobs of Little Rock; sons John and fiancée Nikki Le of Memphis, and Jeffrey and his wife, Emily, of Little Rock; brother Richard Madden of California; sister Elizabeth Rohas of Illinois; grandsons Kyle and Max Jacobs of Little Rock; and his devoted chocolate lab, Cula. A visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m., Thursday, September 22, 2011 at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway in Little Rock (501) 224-8300. Services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, at St. James United Methodist Church, 321 Pleasant Valley Drive, Little Rock. Donations may be made to the American Heart Association, P. O.
