Ruth M. Blackwelder

Ruth M. Blackwelder, 75, of North Little Rock passed away Monday, September 19th, 2011. She was born January 11th, 1936 in Iredell County, North Carolina to the late Earl and Rachel Hanna McAuley. Ruth was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by many. She enjoyed gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren. Cherishing her memory are Neal Blackwelder, her husband of 57 years; three children, Cindy Jones of McRae, Arkansas, Carol Christy and her husband Jesse of Austin, Arkansas, and Barry Blackwelder of Ft. Collins, Colorado; her sister, Harriet Binkley of Louisville, North Carolina, brother, George McAuley of Statesville, North Carolina; two grandchildren, April Elizabeth Christy of Searcy, Arkansas, and Michael James Christy of Austin, Arkansas; and a host of other friends and relatives. A celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m., Friday September 23rd, 2011 at First United Methodist Church-North Little Rock with Bros. Davis Thompson and Ben Jordan officiating.
