William Brothers (Bill) Albright

On September 19, 2011 William Brothers (Bill) Albright joined his Heavenly Father to begin his eternal life. He was born May 12, 1l933 to Margaret and Clayton (C.L.) Albright of Duncannon Pa.. He was preceded in death by his parents Margaret and C. L. Albright of Duncannon Pa., and two sisters Jean Adams of California and Bettymae Bowshot of Harrisburg, Pa. He served his Lord here on earth and was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Jacksonville. He was a member of the Men of Ministry Sunday School Class. Bill was in the United States Air Force for twenty years. After retiring he began a second career in elementary education. He taught in the Pulaski County Special School District for nineteen years, and it is a great honor for his family to know that he touched the lives of many students as well as faculty. After retiring from education he continued his service to others by filling in as a substitute teacher and being a faithful volunteer in many areas in the local schools. Bill taught flag education and respect for the American Flag to all the 5th grade students in PCSSD. He received many awards and recognition for his service in each area of his life. He received the Patriotism Award in 2005 from the Military Order of the World Wars. Bill was an avid model train collector, and was a member of the Lionel Collectors Club of America for many years. He brought much joy and excitement to children by sharing his trains with elementary classroom students, as well as with families that would just drop in at the house. At one point he worked as a temporary youth director at First Baptist Church helping the youth earn money for summer trips to Glorietta, New Mexico and Ridgecrest, North Carolina. He is survived by his loving wife Wilma Lois Albright of 56 years and three loving daughters, Tina Albright of Benton, Terrie Pope and husband Brad of Little Rock, Tammie Mathis and husband Mike of Cabot. Bill had one grandson, Clayton Holderfield. He is also survived by one brother, Craig Albright of Harrisburg Pa., three sisters, Jessie Frye and husband Elwood, Norma Jones and husband Lester of Duncannon, Pa., and Kate Kingsbourgh of Carlisle, Pa. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, September 22, 2011 at First Baptist Church in Jacksonville. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to First Baptist Church Building Fund, 401 North First Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas 72076. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, September 23, 2011 at First Baptist Church in Jacksonville. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Park.
