Brian Frederick Sudderth

BRIAN FREDERICK SUDDERTH, 56, died on April 16, 2012. Born in Arrington, England, he was the son of Lt. Col. Ralph M. Sudderth Jr. and Emily Spindler Sudderth. He attended Hall High School in Little Rock and graduated from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tenn. He then attended the University of Arkansas Medical School and served his family practice residency in Asheville, N.C. He practiced medicine for almost 30 years, first in Bryant, Ark. and was currently at Family Practice Associates in Benton. He was also serving as Medical Director at the Arkansas Health Center and volunteered at the Christian Community Care Clinic. He enjoyed sports, caring for his patients, and writing haiku poetry. Brian had a great passion for life and tried to live each day to the fullest. His passing will leave a void in many lives. Brian was preceded in death by his grandparents, Fred and Emily Burrow Spindler of Little Rock, Ralph Manning and Annie Beam Sudderth, and his father. He is survived by his wife, Lynn Reecer Sudderth and their children, Lauren Marie and James Manning of Denver. He is also survived by his mother, Emily 'Robin' Sudderth of Little Rock; his sister, Kimball Sudderth Ford and her husband, Mabry of Memphis, his brother, Ralph Sudderth III and his wife, Lorell of Little Rock and scores of cousins, friends and SAE brothers he called family. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, friend and doctor. A memorial service will be held at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Little Rock at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 28. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Rhodes College in Memphis, the Christian Community Care Clinic in Benton, or the Arkansas Art Center in Little Rock.
