Selma Grace Turner Young

Selma Grace Turner Young, formerly of Springhill, Hope, and Little Rock Ark., died April 21, 2012, in Roanoke, Va. Mrs. Young was preceded in death by her husband, Sam R. Young and her daughter, Jerilu Young Copeland Stackhouse both of Little Rock, Ark.; her parents, Jere C. and Georgie Ward Turner of Springhill, Ark. and her five sisters as well as her niece, Josephine Thompson Booth of Hope, Ark. Mrs. Young is survived by her daughter, Sharon Young Jones and her husband, Howard Jones Jr., of Roanoke, Va.; four grandchildren, Robert L. Copeland of Benton, Ark.; Chuck Copeland (Dalana) of Granbury, Texas; Wittney Jones Hasley of Greenwood, Ark.; and Dr. David T. Jones (Shawna) of Raleigh, N.C.; and seven great-grandchildren. Private graveside services will be held at Memory Gardens in Hope. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a memorial contribution to Alzheimer's Association of Arkansas, 10411 West Markham, Suite 130, Little Rock, Ark. 72205-1409 or to a charity of choice.
