Shirley Ann Lee went to be with the Lord on April 21, 2012, surrounded by her loving family in the comfort of her home. Shirley battled pancreatic cancer from the fall of 2009 until her death. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Ola Smith; sisters, Louise Lay and Robbye Bland; and brother, Edwin Smith. Shirley is survived by her husband of 55 years, Frankie Lee of Stuttgart; son, Randall (Kathy) Lee of Roe and daughter, Lasha (Brad) Carter of Stuttgart; her grandchildren, Grant (Kristen) Lee of Roe, Brandon Lee of Stuttgart, Kristin (Andrew) Wilson of Holly Grove, Anna Lee Carter of Conway and Adelyn Carter of Orange Beach, Ala.; great-grandchildren, Nathan Lee and Tinlee Wilson; sisters, Bobby Phillips of Fayetteville, Sue Rice of Heber Springs and Virginia Dees of Stuttgart; and great-nephew, Derrick (Tiffany) McCarley of DeWitt. Shirley was an active member of Park Avenue Baptist Church of Stuttgart. She was a 1956 graduate of Dermott (Arkansas) High School. Shirley attended cosmetology school and worked as a beautician for 27 years. Shortly after, she served as the office manager of Lee Truck Broker, Inc. until her retirement in 2008. She then spent her time volunteering as a client coordinator for Heaven's Helping Hands Ministries Food Program. She enjoyed yachting with her husband, attending Dallas Conway football games and cooking and fellowshipping with her family and friends. Funeral services are 1 p.m. Tuesday at Park Avenue Baptist Church with burial following in Mt. Carmel Baptist Cemetery at Roe by Turpin Funeral Home of Stuttgart. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Monday at Park Avenue Baptist Church.
