Edna Ruth Partridge

Edna Ruth Holcomb Partridge went on to be with her Lord and Savior on April, 22,2012. She was born January 6, 1927, in the Fendley Community to the late J.R. and Cora Kirksey Holcomb. She married the love of her life, Leo Partridge, who preceded her in death on April 1, 1992. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and making quilts for her family. She especially enjoyed making baby quilts for the new generations of grandchildren......even recently. She also enjoyed working in her yard and flower beds as recent as a couple of weeks ago. She learned bird watching from Leo and still enjoyed watching birds, especially the blue birds that built in her back yard every spring. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Lou Ann Partridge Stricklin; grandson. Tyler Stricklin; granddaughter, Tanya Stricklin; sisters, Verlon Holcomb Floyd., Fern Holcomb Ainsworth, brothers, Vernon Holcomb, Charles Holcomb, Lendol Holcomb, and Gerald Holcomb. She is survived by her daughters, Gay Partridge Neel (Mac), Becky Partridge Reeves ( Sonny), of Arkadelphia, and Amanda Partridge Lee of New Boston, Texas. Her grandchildren are Darla Neel Givens, Teena Neel Bebee, Marty Neel, Andy Stricklin (Mandy), of Arkadelphia, Seth Reeves, of Reston, Va., Zach Reeves of Little Rock, Cole Reeves (Marla) of Cave Springs, Suzette Reeves of Hot Springs, Heath Lee of Texarkana, Texas, Aimee and Hunter Lee of New Boston. Texas. Great-grandchildren are Shelby, Kurtlyn, and Drake Givens, Brayden, Sadee, and Josee Bebee, Chloie Neel and Carlie Plyler of Arkadelphia, Brooks Looney of Fayetteville, and Taylor Golden of Hot Springs, and great-grandchildren, Cash & Whitley Stricklin of Arkadelphia. Surviving sisters are Evelyn Allen, Bismarck, Naomi LaVonne Carson (Cliff) of Hampton, brothers are Wayne Holcomb (Patricia) of Arkadelphia, Gene Holcomb ( Linda) Pearcy, Larry Holcomb (Carolyn) of Hot Springs, sisters-in-law, Mary Holcomb of Arkadelphia, Gloria Holcomb of Amity, Maurice Partridge Shepherd, of Arkadelphia, and son-in-law, Fred Stricklin of Arkadelphia. as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Private family Graveside Services will be held at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens with Nephew Jeff Ainsworth and Greg Lathem officiating. Grandsons will be pallbearers.
