Sharon Kay Ferguson Wilkins, 62, formerly of Carlisle went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 22, 2012. Sharon graduated from Carlisle High School in 1967 and attended Arkansas State University, where she earned a degree in Music Education. She was an active member of First Baptist Church in Carlisle, and she strongly supported the music program and was honored to be a member of the Arkansas Master'Singers. She had an angelic voice and touched everyone who heard her wonderful singing. Sharon was active in sales all of her life, most recently for Universal, Inc. She was a passionate wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She never met a stranger, and she felt privileged to help anyone in need. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her. Sharon is survived by her beloved husband of 22 years, Larry Wilkins, son, Clay Waliski, mother, Dorothy Ferguson, two sisters, Joyce (Darrell) Saul and Carolyn (Martin) Marek, two brothers, Craig (Cynthia) and Todd (Mandy) Ferguson, two step-sons, Matt (April) Wilkins and Terry (Bridget) Wilkins, and five grandchildren, Piper, Leah, Riley, Olivia, and Gage. She was preceded in death by her father, E.C. "Nick" Ferguson. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, April 24 at Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke. Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 25 at the First Baptist Church in Carlisle. Burial will follow in Carlisle Cemetery.
