George Babbitt

George Venson Babbitt, age 67, of Benton, went to live with his Heavenly Father April 25, 2012. He was born March 17, 1945 in Little Rock, the only son and first of two children of the late Delbert Venson and Alma Lillian Babbitt. George was a member of the class of 1963 at Little Rock Central High School. He was proud to be in the Navy and serve his country on active and reserve duty from 1963 to 1969. George was a member of Indian Springs Baptist Church. His survivors include his wife of 43 years, Patsy Ann McBride Babbitt; son and daughter-in-law, Charles Andrew and Regina Lynn Babbitt and their two children, Liam Andrew (age 8) and Laila Aubrey (age 3). He loved his grandchildren, who called him "Bubba". . . Also special to him were his two dogs, Dixie and Molly. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, April 26 at Ashby Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 27 at New Rosemont Cemetery in Benton. Ministers will be Bro. Chris Kinzler and Bro. Larry Donaldson.
