John Carl Horton of Sheridan, Arkansas died Wednesday, at his home at the age of 85. Survivors, wife, Betty Ashley Horton of Sheridan; son, Kevin Horton of O'Fallon, Missouri; daughters, Carla (Larry) Anderson of Ramah, Colorado; Ellen (Steve) Walters of Sheridan; brothers, Wallace (Betty Jo) Horton of Sheridan; Harold (Pat) of Guam; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren. Funeral: 3 p.m., Saturday, September 1, 2012 at First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan. Burial: Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation: Friday from 6-8 p.m.at the funeral home.
