Wensil Dorothy Marsh Clark, 88, of Little Rock, passed away on December 9, 2012. She was born in Little Rock on January 29, 1924 to Dahlia Sarah (Hardcastle) and Homer Irvin Marsh. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Larry Preston Clark, who she affectionately called "Pet." Also, she buried her only son, Garry Preston Clark. She is survived by her firstborn daughter, Marsha Hylton and her husband, William "Bill" Hylton; a granddaughter, Kristina Marie Weaver, great-grandchildren, Andrew, Jacob, Rachel and Matthew Bolduc; a grandson, Anthony James "Tony" Weaver, his wife, Anne and a great-granddaughter, Olivia; a granddaughter, Sarah Hylton and a grandson, Harley Hylton; Garry's children, a granddaughter, Rosemarie Clark, a granddaughter, Ashley Musgrove and her husband, Troy, and two great-granddaughters, Dharma and Karma. Also surviving is her second daughter, Renee Belote, a grandson, Thomas Michael Belote and his wife, Britt Walsh, a grandson, Robert Michael Belote and his wife, Nikki and a great-granddaughter, Avery. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was active in her children's activities by volunteering at church, in Girl Scouts, for school field trips, PTA and Easter egg hunts. She was a member of Douglassville Methodist Church, and later, Western Hills United Methodist Church. She also was a member of Leawood Garden Club, Nut Club and helped organize the Class of "41 reunions. Besides her family, her passion was genealogy. She was an avid reader and loved studying genealogy and family history for over forty years. She held many officer positions in the Arkansas Genealogical Society, the Gilbert Marshall Chapter of the DAR, Colonial Dames, Pioneers and the UDC. She has published two books, Arkansas Pioneers and Allied Familys in 1976, and the White County Arkansas Census in 1980. Services will be Wednesday, December 12 at 11 a.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). Visitation will precede the service beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will be private at Pinecrest Memorial Park. Arrangements by Little Rock Funeral Home, (501) 224-2200.
