Christine "Dolly" Coonce

Christine "Dolly" Coonce, 93, of Corning, Ark., passed away Saturdsy, Jan. 28, 2012 at Hospice of Palm Beach County in West Palm Beach, Fla. Born Jan. 25, 1919 in Corning, Mrs. Coonce was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with family, attending church, flower gardening, and quilting. She was a member of Saint Matthew Lutheran Church in Corning. On Nov. 27, 1940 she was united in marriage to Sidney Coonce in Corning. He preceded her in death on May 22, 1998. Survivors are three sons, Sidney Coonce of Cincinnati, Ohio, Carl Coonce of Hortenville, Wis., and Mark Coonce of Little Rock, Ark.; one daughter, Carolyn Coonce of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; one brother, Fred Allmandinger of Corning; two sisters, Anna Mayberry of Piggott, Ark. and Dorothy Barton of Corning, Ark.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband Sidney, and parents Chris and Maude (Hemmerlein) Allmandinger. Service will be Friday, Feb. 3, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Saint Matthew Lutheran Church in Corning with Rev. Jon Bischoff officiating. Burial will follow in Corning Cemetery under the direction of Ermert Funeral Home of Corning. Visitation will be Thursday, 6-8 p.m. at Ermert Funeral Home.
