Sue Ann (Schwender) Ettman

Sue Ann (Schwender) Ettman of Petit Jean Mountain passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2011, with her husband and daughters at her side. Sue was born March 17, 1943, in White Plains, New York, to the late Paul and Winona Schwender. She leaves her husband of 47 years, Jim Ettman, and daughters Elizabeth Giovannini (Pete), Aimee Mimms (John), and grandchildren Ashleigh and Anna Giovannini and Tyler and Luke Mimms all of Petit Jean Mountain. Sue graduated from White Plains High School and was an honor graduate at the University of North Carolina. Professionally, she was an archaeologist, a teacher, a librarian, and the Professional Registrar at Winrock International. She enjoyed traveling, cooking for friends and family, growing African violets, quilting, and anything chocolate. A celebration of her life will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, February 19, 2012, at the fellowship hall at Camp Mitchell atop Petit Jean Mountain.
