Claude E. Burleson

Claude E. "Sonny" Burleson Jr., 78, of Hensley passed away Sunday, February 19, 2012. He served in the United States Army and toured in Korea from 1953-1955. He worked for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch as a printer and was a member of East Union Baptist Church in Hensley, Arkansas. He is survived by two sons, Jeff Burleson and Keith Burleson, both of St. Louis, Missouri; daughter, Tracy Steel and her husband, Don, of Mesa, Arizona; three grandchildren, Kayti Zayas, Sarah Easley and Michael Burleson; one great-grandchild, Kevin Zayas; two sisters, Louise Snead and Lena Scott; and two brothers, Joe Burleson and David Burleson. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Jimmie Dee, Romey and Rick Burleson. Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association, 320 Executive Court, Ste. 104, Little Rock, Arkansas 72205. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Wednesday in the North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
