Russell Edward Taylor

Russell Edward Taylor, 86, of Fort Smith died February 25, 2012 in Fort Smith. He was born February 13, 1926 in Chillicothe, MO to Leslie Edward and Edna Marie Beall Taylor. He was a retired employee of Arkansas Best Freight, a Veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, 33rd Degree Mason with Sebastian Lodge and was Past Master of the Amaretto Grotto. He is survived by two daughters, Linda Thurston of Greenwood, AR and Laura Bogoslavsky of Little Rock, Ark.; one son, Leslie David Taylor of Fort Smith; one sister, Ada Allnutt of Jefferson City, Mo.; nine grandchildren, Kevin and Jeremy Settle, Archie Thurston Jr., Leslie Don Thurston, Leslie David Taylor Jr., Lee Dale Taylor, Lana, Karah, and Mattie Rose Bogoslavsky; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife Doris Marie Lisby and daughter, Louise Monks. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at 10 a.m. in the St. Bartholemew Episcopal Church of Fort Smith with burial to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Archie Thurston Jr., Leslie Don Thurston, Kevin Settle, Jeremy Settle, and Lee Dale Taylor.
