Terry Scoggins of Newport departed this life on Saturday, February 25, 2012, in St. Louis. He and his twin brother, Eddy, were born April 22, 1953, in Newport, to Ann and Ed Scoggins. In 1974, Terry joined his father, Ed, at Frank A. Rogers and Co., Inc., becoming co-owner and CFO. He was an active member of his community and served on many committees and boards over the years. Terry also played an active role in youth activities of Jackson County. Terry was a faithful member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Newport. Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Lee McNew Scoggins of the home; daughter, Mary Julian Scoggins Young and husband, Stephen, of Fort Smith; son, Will Scoggins of Newport; his parents, Ann and Ed Scoggins of Newport; his twin brother, Eddy and wife, Mary Lynn, of West Memphis; inlaws, Charles Scott and Nancye (Ursery) McNew of Pine Bluff; brother-in-law, Charles W. McNew and wife Lucy of Pine Bluff; sister-in-law, Kathleen Charles and husband Tommy of Little Rock; nieces and nephews, Charlie McNew, Nancy Lee McNew, Brooke Clausen and husband Evan, Neil Charles, Nathan Charles, Drew Scoggins and wife Kelly, Tricia Scoggins and fiancée, Trey Overstreet; great-nieces, Molly and Julia Clausen; and a lifetime of friends. Funeral services are 2 p.m., Tuesday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church with Father John Childress officiating. Interment will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Terry Scoggins Outstanding Character Memorial Scholarship Fund, 2nd and Hazel Streets, Newport, Arkansas or St. Paul's Episcopal Church Endowment Fund, 301 Hazel Street, Newport, Arkansas 72112.
