William "Bill" Welsh, 74, of Traskwood died July 1, 2012. He was born July 17, 1937 in Washington, Pa. to the late Marvin Welsh and Nellie Mays Welsh. He had served in the U.S. Air Force and was owner of Bill's Pool Service. Bill enjoyed motorcycling, fishing and hunting. He was involved in VFW Post 2256 Benton and was president of "Maverick Mixers" square dancers. Bill enjoyed working with the youth of the community including coaching baseball and cub master for the Boy Scouts. Bill was preceded in death by brothers, Daniel and Mark Welsh. Survivors include his wife, Velma Smart-Welsh and son, Anthony Smart of the home; son, Charlie Smart (Zaida); daughters, Racheal Motes (Lee), Robin Dorsey (Randy), Melissa Reunard (Steve) and sons, Paul Welsh and Gerald Welsh; siblings, Randolph, Jeremiah (Donna), Anna May, Nita (Kenneth) and Romina (Paul); several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; adopted children and extended family members. Graveside service with military honors will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 7, 2012 at Pinecrest Memorial Park, Alexander, Ark. The family will receive friends at Traskwood Community Center from 7-9 p.m. Friday. Arrangements by North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170.
