William Elze Pinkerton, 80, departed this life peacefully on July 13, 2012 surrounded by his loved ones. Mr. Pinkerton, a veteran of the US Navy, was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 31 years, Joyce Ellen Pinkerton. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Veral, Otis, and Ernest Pinkerton; and his sisters, Lenora Kitchens and Estell White. He is survived by his daughter, Brigitte Brady Lanford; and his grandchildren, Mary Alden Lanford Brett (Thomas Brett) and Tate Harrison Lanford, all of Nashville, Tenn. After having served as a flight engineer in the U.S. Navy, Mr. Pinkerton attended and graduated from the University of Arkansas, for whom he remained a lifelong supporter. Bill was also a devoted and long-term employee of the Weyerhaeuser Corporation. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Monday, July 16 at First Presbyterian Church of Hot Springs.
