John H. Dawson Sr.

John H. Dawson, Sr., 91 of Camden, Ark. died Wednesday, July 18, 2012. John was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence E. and Allie Banks Dawson; his wife, Nelle Jane Dawson; and his great-granddaughter, Sydney Jane. He is survived by his sons, Johnny Dawson, Jr. and Allen Dawson both of Camden, Ark.; daughter, Linda Jane Ferstl of Little Rock, Ark.; grandchildren, Jane Marie Reeves, Martha Lynn Dawson, John Dawson III, Gina Newman, J.T. Ferstl and Tommy Ferstl; six great-grandchildren, Wilder Blockburger, Allie Wofford, Aaron Watson, John Dawson IV, Anna Dawson and Dawson Ferstl; and his brother, Lawrence E. Dawson of Pine Bluff, Ark. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m., Sunday, July 22, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church with burial in Greenwood Cemetery in Camden, Ark. Visitation will be Saturday from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Proctor Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church Building Fund, 223 Jefferson Street, S.W., Camden, Ark. 71701.
