Charles "Junior" Lewis

CHARLES "JUNIOR" LEWIS, 94, of Little Rock, Ark., passed away on July 20, 2012 in Kansas City. Junior was born Nov. 22, 1917 in Mount Clemens, Mich. He was at the golf professional at the Country Club of Little Rock for 38 years. He was inducted into the Arkansas Golf Hall of Fame in 1997 and the Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame in 2002. Junior was a 50-year PGA member. Survivors include his loving wife of 72 years, Delores, a son, Charles F. Lewis, III, and his wife, Marilyn, of Leawood, Kan., and four siblings, Mary Mitchell of Norman, Okla., Don (Marilee) Lewis of Tulsa, Okla., Paul (Mary) Lewis of Little Rock, and Catherine Stoddard of Grand Rapids, Mich. Junior was preceded in death by his brother, James Lewis. Services are pending until a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to The First Tee, No. 1 1st Tee Way, Little Rock, Ark., 72204.
