Charles H. Pullin

Rev. Charles H. Pullin, 86, of Hamburg, died Saturday, July 21, 2012 at the Ashley County Medical Center in Crossett. Rev. Pullin was a native of Kilbourne, La. and a resident of Hamburg for the past 45 years. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during World War II. He was a Southern Baptist Minister for the past 37 years having pastored at Tiller Baptist Church, Portland Baptist Church, New Hope Baptist Church, Fellowship Baptist Church, Eden Baptist Church, Gardner Baptist Church and Southside Baptist Church. He was an avid gardener and a former member of the Nelms Deer Camp. He is preceded in death by his parents, Van and Nora Gatlin Pullin; two brothers, James Howard Pullin and Van Pullin Jr., three sisters, Vera Rice, Helen Guin and May Bernice Dill. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Bobbie Judkins Pullin; two daughters, Phyllis Jones and husband, Billy, and Debbie McDonald and husband, Steve, all of Hamburg; a brother, Ralph Pullin of Warren; two sisters, Bobbie Sue Carpenter of Pueblo, Colo. and Mary Elizabeth Kinney of Houston, Texas; four grandchildren, Wade McDonald and wife, Dey, of Crossett; Hope Shaver and husband, Joey, of Fountain Hill, Vanessa Gilliam and husband, Glenn, of Hot Springs and Chuck Jones and wife Michelle of Hamburg; 10 great-grandchildren, Carson and Daley McDonald, Cole, Gracie and Brayden Shaver, Hannah and Gabby Gilliam and Kaci, Karly and Karoline Jones. Funeral services are 3 p.m., Tuesday, July 24, 2012 in the chapel of Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Snyder Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
