Mary Patillo

Mary Frances Patillo, 61, departed this life on Saturday, July 21, 2012 after a courageous battle against cancer. Born in Little Rock, Arkansas on August 29, 1950, Mary displayed an appreciation for life and for people. Her hobbies included: family, music, and watching westerns. Mary accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. It was this faith in Christ that sustained her. Mary was a member of Pleasant Valley Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her son Norman Eugene Johns; father, James Pattillo Sr.; mother, Hattie Bell Patillo and sister, Lucille Cooley. Mary is survived by three children, Carl Patillo, Lucille Patillo and Merlin Lewis; three grandchildren, AJ Buie, Michaela Brown, and Precious Patillo; three siblings: Helen Harris (Amos), James Pattillo Jr. (Pamela), and Catherine Smith (Eugene); numerous relatives, friends (Lanzell Ricks) and church members. Visitation: 1-6 p.m. Friday at Robinson Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Service: 12 noon, Saturday at Pleasant Valley Church of Christ, 10900 N. Rodney Parham Rd. in Little Rock, Arkansas. Burial will follow at Arkansas Memorial Gardens, North Little Rock, Donations may be sent to Pleasant Valley Church of Christ in care of Mary Patillo.
