Betty R. Corn

BETTY R. CORN, 85, of Mabelvale, died Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Saline Memorial Hospice House in Bryant, Ark. She was born March 1, 1927 in El Dorado to F.O. "Dugan" and Betty Reed. Mrs. Corn was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was a unique woman who loved reading and traveling. Betty retired as a clerk for Murphy Oil Corp. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Edwin Corn; and half-brother Jack Prince. Survivors include daughter, Cheryl (Jerry) Cooke of Mabelvale, Ark.; grandchildren, Daniel (Heather) Sandefur of Centerton, Ark., Shane (Traci) Sandefur of North Little Rock, Ark., Heather Cooke of Mabelvale, Ark., David (Eileen) Cooke of Jacksonville, Ark., Clint Cooke of Bryant, Ark., and Renee Cooke of Jacksonville, Ark.; and 10 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at 6-8 p.m. Sunday, June 17, 2012 at Young's. Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 18, 2012 at Arlington Memorial Park with Rev. Bruce Smithson officiating under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors. Memorials may be made to Saline Memorial Hospice 23157 Hwy I 30 Bryant, Ark.
