Samuel E. "Sammy" Cheatham, 80, of Cabot passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2012. He was born in Bauxite, Ark. to the late Sam and Minnie Allice Jackson Cheatham. Sammy was preceded in death by his parents: wife, Dorotha Burrow Cheatham; two brothers and two sisters. Sammy was a member of Berean Baptist Church in North Little Rock. He retired from Krogers after many years of service. Sammy was a 50 year member and Past Master of Iron Springs Masonic Lodge also a 32nd degree mason and a former member of the Director Staff at Scimitar Shrine Center. He enjoyed reading cook books, the Atlanta Braves and the Razorbacks. He was a loving and caring father, grandfather and friend. Sammy will be missed by all that knew him. He is survived by two sons, Don Cheatham and wife Ginger of Cabot, Ark. and Ron Cheatham and wife, Lori of Oakland, Calif.; one daughter, Darlene Craig; one grandson, Jonathan Drew Cheatham and wife, Carla; great-grandchild, McKinley. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Friday, June 29, 2012 at Roller-Owens Funeral Home Chapel, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, Ark. 72116 (501-791-7400) with Reverend Alton Evans officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park.
