John Charles Hartley

John Charles Hartley, age 60, of Pine Bluff, died Friday, March 2, 2012 at his home. He was born April 19, 1951 in Little Rock, a son of the late Isaac Hartley and Charlene Sawyer Hartley McCoy. Mr. Hartley was a 1969 graduate of Rison High School, and graduated from Southern State, now Southern Arkansas University in 1973. He went to work for the Cotton Belt Railroad (Union Pacific) in 1974 and retired in November 2011. Mr. Hartley is survived by his wife, Andrea S. Hartley of Pine Bluff, whom he married on November 25, 1973; son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan and Jolene Hartley of Monticello. Graveside services were Sunday, March 4, 2012 at Greenwood Cemetery with Brother Wade Totty officiating. The family request that memorials be made to Arora, 1701 Aldersgate, Suite 4, Little Rock, Arkansas 72205. Mr. Hartley's son just received a kidney transplant on February 15, 2012.
